A concise rebuttal to “endless growth”

Many economists, politicians, and others are stuck in the mantra of endless growth–whether such a concept is desirable, or even possible (without warp drive or other space-faring tech).

One such advocate is Patrik Schumacher, one of the custodians of Zaha Hadid Architects, an (apparently less-than-committed) signatory of Architects Declare. In response to Schumacher’s argument that climate change can be solved with growth and technology, the Architects Declare steering group posted this rebuttal of Schumacher and pro-endless growth advocates in general:
